Is there a way to export a listing of files in the tree of a project.

A publisher has requested a ".tex file" ... and I would like to send only
the "base file" and the files used. (in my case about 20 files).

Hi Jeff,

in WinEdt 8 a file.synctex is generated which holds all used informations.
It looks like this:

SyncTeX Version:1
Input:1:S:/H_DA/WPK DB2i/030 Praktikum/2013-03 SS
2014/Praktikum/Praktikum_SS_2014_P4-1.tex
Input:2:C:/MiKTeX 2.8/tex/latex/base/article.cls
Input:3:C:/MiKTeX 2.8/tex/latex/base/size10.clo
Input:4:S:/H_DA/WPK DB2i/030 Praktikum/2013-03 SS
2014/Praktikum/sitPraktikum2014.sty
Input:5:C:/MiKTeX 2.8/tex/latex/base/fontenc.sty
Input:6:C:/MiKTeX 2.8/tex/latex/base/t1enc.def
Input:7:C:/MiKTeX 2.8/tex/latex/base/inputenc.sty

Details you find in the manual as you search for synctex.

Mit besten Grüßen
